Poplars Farm Shop, located just 2.5 miles from Nuneaton town centre, is a family-run business that spans 500 acres of the Warwickshire countryside. The farm is well-known for its commitment to locally grown produce, offering a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the year.
Fresh Produce and Farm Goods
The farm grows several varieties of potatoes, including Maris Bard, Wilja, Desiree, King Edwards, and Maris Piper, ensuring a steady supply from early summer through the following June. In addition to potatoes, Poplars Farm produces a variety of other crops, such as strawberries, brassicas (like Brussels sprouts and cabbages), carrots, and more. These are all available in their farm shop, which also stocks honey from their own hives, local cheeses, eggs, poultry, and a selection of condiments and preserves.
Community Engagement and Seasonal Events
Poplars Farm is deeply engaged with the local community, offering more than just a shopping experience. The farm hosts a popular “pick your own” pumpkin event during Halloween, where around 100,000 pumpkins and squashes are grown specifically for this purpose. Additionally, the farm shop and café have become central to community life, offering a place where locals can enjoy fresh produce and spend time together.
Cow Shed Café
In 2021, Poplars Farm expanded to include the Cow Shed Café, which has quickly become a favourite spot for both locals and visitors. The café serves a variety of meals made from the freshest ingredients sourced directly from the farm, providing a farm-to-table dining experience that highlights the quality of their produce.
Poplars Farm Shop is a great destination for anyone looking to support local agriculture, enjoy fresh and sustainably grown produce, and participate in community events. Whether you’re shopping for groceries, enjoying a meal at the café, or visiting during one of their seasonal events, Poplars Farm offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Just moved to the area on a farm and I'm fortunate that this is now my nearest food shop. Delightful place with nice people and high quality meat, especially the smokey Joe sausages are to die for! It has a real sustainable feel and although not a huge farm shop has all you need to make tasty home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Excellent farm shop, selling locally grown produce, well worth a visit, great selection of cheeses and jams, best spuds in area and really helpful staff.
We have been several times , the last time was pumpkin picking, we loved it, the staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful, if you get chance, to visit, even if it's just the farm shop, please go, its amazing, the pickled onions and the purple cauliflower are highly recommended

Went to pumpkin picking as a family of 4, reasonably priced. Great fun, great set up. Not over the top as compared to other venues, just enough of what it should be.
A surprisingly delightful spot for Nuneaton, which typically has a rather lacklustre café scene. The Cow Shed offers a welcoming atmosphere with well-served, high-quality options at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!
There's a farm shop, a great cafe, a dog grooming parlour and a few other things here. We had an excellent lunch in this lovely cafe - see photos. Food was great and the staff were very friendly. Enjoy.
