We went here to fill up our tub with cider and so visited the shop. The smell as you enter the front door is very atmospheric and you know exactly where you are. The shop has some nice displays and plenty of items to buy. The cider is by the far best priced in Somerset.
Visited Rich's Cider Farm again today for Breakfast. Greeted with a very friendly warm welcome. Breakfast was excellent. The staff are lovely and give 1st class customer service.
5 ⭐️!! Bought some of Rich’s Cider whilst in Cheddar went for the Blackcurrant and Raspberry Fruit fused Cider And have to Say Both were Excellent. Already planning on booking a Ticket for There cider Tour Around The Farm and trying there famous carvery
We have been visiting Richs Cider Farm for their Carvery for many years. Initially the improvements to the restaurant, making seating area bigger were welcome. However, after covid, the restriction on 'serving yourself' with veg, potatoes etc remained in place. I don't enjoy this as prefer to be able to choose my own selection and assemble on my plate the way I prefer. I find it embarrassing having to instruct the server. Further, you only get an hour and thirty mins at your table. When there is a large group and the restaurant is bust, you sometimes have to queue for 15 mins or more which drastically cuts down your time at the table by the time everyone has gone up to be served. We were asked if we wanted pudding and then the waitress noticed the time and said if we wanted pudding, we would have to take it to go! This is obviously because they want to maximize the number of sittings at each service. A tad greedy on their part I feel. It is also extremely noisy during our recent visit because of the sheer volume of people including people waiting to pay at the till and those queueing out the door to get in. We couldn't talk over lunch as we couldn't hear each other. It all felt rushed and stressful and we all said (party of 7) we wouldn't be returning. However, the waitresses are lovely and do their best in a difficult situation and the food is always good quality. If you don't mind a bit of chaos and eat quickly without the need to interact with your fellow diners, this could be the place for you.
Literally the best roast I’ve ever had. I had the Rich’s carvery and I had the Turkey and Beef. I had to unbutton my pants to fit it all in but by God I didn’t want one delicious mouthful to go to waste. We also go the cider paddle which went down a treat, the classic cider was my favourite - it’s not too sweet and has more of a kombucha vibe so I felt healthy after my meal. The staff were soooo lovely including Kjerst who was very efficient, professional and sweet. And it was popping off for a Friday lunch as well! So reasonable for the price as well. Genuinely would say come out of your way anywhere in England to go here.
I wanted to book something a little different for my husband's birthday, he loves cider so it seemed like the perfect place. Ordered lunch today. Only one or two choices for Vegan and Vegetarian diets. The food was tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and efficient. We sampled a cider tasting paddle which was fun! Visited the shop next door and bought some cider to take home. Will definitely visit again to sample the breakfast menu.
by far, the best carvery I've had around Somerset, spent a while in the farm shop, I would say local produce but it was all of the liquid kind then went in for our food, fancied the carvery and wow, check out the Yorkshire pudding in the pictures, flavours really good gravy exceptional an to top it off they serve their own ciders at the bar, love it, will defo be going again
Went into the restaurant and the food was lovely. Even though we didn't have the carvery which seemed very popular very reasonably priced and good service too. Would recommend
I visited as part of a group today. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the restaurant and then had a tour. Our guide,Richard, was very knowledgeable and ,of course,we all enjoyed sampling various ciders afterwards! The shop sells a good selection of fresh and frozen foods, chutneys and jams. All in all a very enjoyable day.
Our first time here. Greeted with a friendly welcome and shown to our table. Bar and restaurant look good and all drinks and food are ordered at the table, much better than having to que at a bar. Good range of choices on the menu. We chose to have carveries, food was well cooked and good size portions. Couldn't resist trying a pudding after and highly recommend the Banoffe pie with a scoop of Marshfields ice-cream, delicious. Service from all the waitresses was friendly and quick. Enjoyed our first visit, so will be back to try more of the menu.Parking is easy, and there are a few disabled spaces next to the restaurant
