Windsor Farm Shop offers a unique shopping experience, showcasing high-quality goods from the Royal Estates and local suppliers. Here’s a breakdown of some of its main sections:

Butchery

Awarded a Q Guild Award for Hygiene, the butchery is a highlight of the shop. It offers meat from animals reared on the Crown Estate and private Home Park. The shop features beef, pork, and lamb that are naturally fed and traceable. Their Sussex beef is matured for a minimum of 21 days, and they produce their own sausages from Royal Farms pork.

Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop offers a variety of cakes, cream teas, patisseries, sandwiches, paninis, salads, and hot food. Beverages include organic fair-trade coffee, wine, and beer. The shop aims to use the same products in the Coffee Shop as in the main shop, including salads made from fresh produce and meats from the butchery.

Local and Regional Produce

The Farm Shop features local Windsor produce like freshly-baked bread from The Jolly Baker, honey produced in Windsor Great Park, and beers from the Windsor and Eton Brewery. You’ll also find regional British products like seafood from Scotland, cheese from Devon, chutneys from the Isle of Wight, vodka, and cider.

Hampers

Customers can browse various departments to select items for a custom hamper, which the shop will package and wrap as a unique gift.

Sour faced, inattentive staff on the till. If it wasn’t the only place in the area which stocked a particular cheese wouldn’t go there again. One positive the guys on the butchers counter are great.

We have been coming to the shop and cafe for many years. The shop staff were excellent and the food range first class quality. We went to the cafe for coffee and had to clear the table before we sat down, numerous tables left uncleared and staff would deliver orders and walk past the cluttered tables, this was causing problems for other customers wanting to sit down, it took over 20 minutes before the tables were cleared and cleaned, such a shame standards have slipped.

We have been visiting the Windsor Farm Shop for many years. Went yesterday for the first time after the refurb. Very disappointed with the new cafe. The menu is limited and very expensive, and the service is appalling. The shop no longer sells many of the items I used to buy, so my purchase was limited. Won't waste petrol by going again! AVOID!

Since refurbishment the standard of food is very poor from what it used to be and price of food has risen ridiculously. And if you have a scone don't expect enough butter to even spread on one half . l used to love the freshly made sandwiches with salad that used to be but not anymore

My latest visit was today at approx. 11am.Thank goodness there are still a couple of old hands behind the counter, as a friendly face and hello Ken welcome goes along wayRquested as usual one of my favorite bites Pork Medalions in Argentine Fire sauce, for the first time in my memory and to my suprise NO ARGETINE FIRE SAUCE (supposedly Ran out}Finnished my shop then to checkout, requsted a bag, surprised to be charged 20p for the bag which was a very thin cheap white bag and NOT the usual much more attractive Farm Shop Bag with LOGO Etc.I sincerely hope this is a one off experience, as i fear this sort of skimping could cause the Pristine Reputation ot The W F S to suffer.RegardsDisappointedKEN

We go there between twice to three times a month. We enjoy the place and the vibe. It is a pleasant and simple place to spend time for coffee/ tea and cake. The cakes are great. As for the food menu, the food is fresh. It would be nice if they refresh the menu every now and again. After a while it is boring. Also be prepared for a strict menu rules.

Always loved visiting the farm shop and then having something nice to eat and drink in cafe.We have a dog and you were able to sit outside in all weathers as they had cabin. This has been removed so there is now no shelter except for 2 very small huts.(Always taken)As I am recovering from ankle op thought it would be nice for a trip out.We didn't stay. Cold and damp and no shelter. Have to wait if and when it warms up.Might want to think about some outside shelter. We miss our trips.

We came for afternoon tea and wished that we hadn't bothered.. the coffee was awful, the scones were hard as rockMore like biscuits than scones... very disappointed. I did complain but got a very watery 'oh sorry' she did offer ne something else, but to be honest nothing looked that appetising, plus I was looking forward to a cream scone

The farm shop is ok good produce but the cafe is not what I would expect from an establishment with the title Royal Windsor.. sausage roll was horrendous could literally bounce it off table it was chewy and hard .. the coffee was a machine coffee not the greatest and the banana and toffee cake tasted plastic not a banana note in it at all overall really disappointed

I was very disappointed with the farm shop. All pies have been frozen before, so I could not buy some and freeze when i go back home.I thought all their food came from local area's, unfortunately not.The cafe farm shop is very disappointing. I asked for a gluten-free bacon roll. I got a roll in a plastic bag and cold overcooked bacon. It took a long time for the food to be served. There were four of us, and none of us really enjoyed the experience of the visit.

Considering the nascent glamour and proximity the royals, the café at Windsor Farm Shop is a cynical operation in consumer fleecing.Trust me, I’m no cheapskate, but £19 for a couple of bland and very frowsy baked potatoes sits a little heavy, alongside the starchy number I’ve just consumed. My gripe is that the food is tasteless, lazily presented (salad still sodden from washing) and really offered no quality or culinary delight. The person who runs this catering operation needs to take a lesson from the outside world and smarten up the poor quality food offering, the surly and very inconsistent service, along with tired and dirty tables and floors. This place isn’t bad for taking Granny for a pot of tea and a slice of cake, but the rest of the menu is disappointing and infuriatingly joyless, particularly when figuring what you pay.

Seriously, if I go to a farm shop and pay ridiculously over price for stuff I at least like to get quality stuff. Not like pre frozen sausage rolls and every item like pies etc. To have flavour enhancer E621 which is basically the worst thing you can put in to your body. I would expect upscale quality for the insane prices you charge but yet get Lidl quality

We’ve been visiting the Windsor Farm Shop & Cafe for many years and used to be impressed with both the shop and the cafe but things have changed. The shop still has an excellent butcher’s counter and the deli is ok but in general the product offering never changes and lacks innovation. Whoever does the sourcing of products needs to start uping the game - businesses have to constantly grow and change to stay successful. The cafe has gone terribly downhill and is now unrecognisable to the place it was before the Covid era. There used to be a great food offering displayed on a blackboard behind the counter and a tempting fully stocked cake cabinet. There were lots of lovely display cabinets showing House of Windsor branded goods and lovely photographs of the Queen, Windsor Castle and other royal estates. However all that has changed - to start with it feels unwelcoming and badly lit, the staff are bossy and have a new system whereby you have find a table before you order and then they deliver your order. This has the effect of taking the staff away from the counter which in turn delays the orders being processed which, at busy times would just be compounded. I don’t know whether the running of the cafe has been outsourced (that’s how it feels) but they seem to be seriously missing a few tricks. There are a mix of different customers coming to the WFS - locals, general visitors to the area and tourists arriving on the open top bus tour and it should be a highly successful business but, if they carry on like this people are going to stop going there. We certainly won’t be rushing back..!

We visited at a Sunday lunchtime. It’s a spacious cafe with a conservatory. You order food at the desk and they bring the drinks and sandwiches to you. Lovely efficient service. My daughter fainted fortunately and there was a lovely First Aider on site. She was so helpful and caring and even checked in on her a bit later. She is a credit to her employers and has a great personality that was obvious with all the other staff. Thank you so much.

I like the cafe and shop here - their bacon baps I especially like. The only thing I dislike and it’s happened a few times is there is a lady who works there - maybe a manager - mousey/blonde hair in pony tail who INSISTS on shouting, yelling at her collegues behind the counter from the tables. She’s done it twice standing right behind me. It’s rude unprofessional and sounds awful. She is awful for this place. People looked stunned when she did that last time a couple of days ago when I last visited Awful

I have enthused about the Windsor Farm Shop for many years, having been a regular visitor and introducing many to the carefully produced food and service. However, all has changed ... on Friday, 29th December, I had arranged to meet my sister, visiting from France, in these familiar, previously very satisfying surroundings. I arrived first and procured a table recently vacated and covered in food leftovers and crockery. My sister arrived a few minutes later and we waited 20 minutes for the table to be cleared. This did not happen. My sister tried to attract the attention of a young waiter, but he turned around and exited to the kitchen. She then approached an older woman behind the counter who did not apologise for the delay.and arrived very grumpily to clear the table and day there was a shortage of staff. The menu was very much reduced ( none of our favoured jacket potatoes ) and annoyed by the service? we left.

Lovely venue. The cafe is very comfy and they serve good breakfast. The carrot cake was a little drier than I used to but the other cakes were good. The shop itself is well worth a visit. Lovely meats, cheeses, pies etc. Also pop into the gift shop where is a assortment of sweet treats too.If you visit Windsor I suggest you begin here before taking a long walk up to the castle.

Small farm shop, lots of baked goods, tinned products and cheeses. We visited the coffee shop too which was slightly disappointing. Not going to lie, looks a bit run down - the interior could do with a face lift as it looks like a pensioners canteen. It would have been nice to see more baked goods in the cafe. Good options were limited and the cake display looked sad with minimal options - unfortunately cake slices were dry too.

Beautiful setting. Even the entrance is inviting. There is plenty of parking. The farm shop is very big with lots to offer. I would have thought that they would have offered more home baked items in the shop. A lot of them were pre-packed, and a lot of the items didn't feel locally produced. The cafe was very busy, with a small but nice range of food. One thing that I thought was peculiar was when I asked for some cream with my cake. I was told they don't serve cream. What do you get if you order a scone...... in Windsor......... no cream. I've been here now and had the experience, I don't think I'd go out of my way to go back.

Expected more from such a high profile place. Came across this place while spinning around Windsor and popped in for a look. We parked up and had a look around the shop. We found that the shop was more import’s than local farmers produce. We then decided to have a coffee and slice of cake in the cafe beside the shop. The cakes didn’t look amazing as expected and when I asked for a little cream as the cake looks dry I was told they don’t really do cream 😳. First time I heard that in a cafe. The coffee was a litter bitter due to the fact the milk was overheated but with a few sugars was acceptable. The setting was lovely and I did like it but couldn’t say I loved it. It was about £14 for two coffees and two slices of cake so the best I can say was it was okay
