I wish I could take this place home with me! Absolutely amazing quiche and frittata( wide range of flavors and gluten free frittata) the cakes were wonderful and coffee was EXCEPTIONAL. But above and beyond that the service was top notch. One server especially remembered my drink order by our 4th morning there making you feel like a local and the manager came up to our table on our last morning making me aware of the morning delivery of local baked sourdough bread which I purchased to take home. Good food, good people, good view!
Small farm shop with excellent home cooked food using locally sourced produce. Always busy with both visitors to the area and locals alike so booking for an inside table is highly recommended.
I love the farm shop - the staff are lovely and the food is in my opinion fantastic. Why I have given it four stars and not five is for the following; The Google opening hours don’t always appear to be correct. Today my partner checked and it had that they were open, however when she got there it was closed. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Just a btw, their website doesn’t give any indication of it being closed either.Secondly i find it quite loud (i have a medical condition which is exacerbated by this) - I’ve seen other places put baffling up to reduce noise, which I hope they consider for the future.Other than this i can’t fault it.
If you love a fabulous breakfast, stunning views, and great service, you must visit Boscastle Farm Shop. Booking via the website is recommended to avoid disappointment.
One of our favourite places to go to with my partner for the salmon quiche and the incredible cakes on offer. And the views of the coast are incredible!! The staff are a delight, especially Tracey who is always so welcoming with a smile on her face! ☺️
Lovely views hence they get a star! Had a delicious breakfast there too.... but I bought this cake yesterday 😭 I just took a bite out of it and realized 🤮🤢😭😭😭 be warned!!!! 🤢🤢🤢 Should not have become this mouldy in 1 day!!!! 😭🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 Makes me scared what is lurking in the kitchen.
We had heard so much about this place so booked for breakfast which was nice nothing special but we asked the girl serving if she could top our teapot up with hot water as it didn’t come with extra hot water as you would expect when it’s a small pot between two .But when I went to pay they charged for 2 pots of tea !Unbelievable I was so shocked I didn’t say anything paid & left never to return !
We got there around 1pm for a Sunday lunch and none left which was disappointing although in fairness we hadn't booked. The other food we ordered wasn't fabulous. Desserts are big so suggest one between 2 for smaller appetites.
This is wonderful inside here. Could spend a fortune in the farm shop if you wanted as everything looks so cute and lovely. Cafe charged extra for sitting inside, which of course you understand but if like me you like to do things on a budget then pay to take them away and bring your picnic blanket instead and short walk (turn right) down the coast path and you come to a field with an incredible view. Eat your cakes there instead and save the money.
What a beautiful place food was brilliant staff were so kind and friendly we came back each day after our 1st visit , even took home item from the take away for our journey , brought some lovely items in the shop including some earrings , lovely lady who served us in cafe complimented our sons manners after he asked for something at the counter , made our trip even more memorable: hope to come back again next time we are your way . The puddings looked amazing but never got around to having one , had the breakfast, cream tea , cheese scone, scrambled eggs , pasty’s and scotch eggs , wow wish we had longer to sample more .
Visited this place for breakfast - loved the coffee and food!! Too good! Plus it offers beautiful sea views. Remember to book in advance as it can be quite busy during peak times (understandably so)..
Great place for a bite to eat. We went for a late breakfast and it was very good. Lovely views of the coast.Very good value for money and lovely helpful staff. Cakes are amazing. Will definitely be back. I would advise booking as they always seem to be busy. Great farm shop too and lovely gifts and souvenirs.
made the mistake of getting refreshments twice in Boscastle before finding this amazing place just 20 minutes walk further along the coastal path.Don't pass by! fantastic selection of cakes and lunches with a farm shop that adds to how great it is.staff really friendly and helpful to..and lovely outside area for sitting with children's play area.
We've just had lunch at the Farm Shop and can honestly say that the Ruby Red Beef Lasagne was the Best I've ever tasted..Full marks to everyone involved. Can't recommend this place to highly
We had breakfast here and it was amazing! Staff were very friendly and welcomingand the service was efficient. My partner had the vegetarian breakfast and said the veggie sausage was the best he had tasted. I had the oak smoked kipper with poached eggs and it was delicious. The coffee was great too. We left wishing it was on our doorstep. Sadly we were passing through at the end of a week exploring North Cornwall. I'm sure we will be back in the not too distant future.
Fantastic little farm shop/cafe will definitely be coming here again. Great array of Gluten free options and the Cakes looked to die for!!! I had the loaded pork fries which were nice, but a little heartbroken I didn’t pick up a piece of cake!
Heading down from our home in Devon to Cornwall we popped in here having read great reviews and were not disappointed. Incredible location, we sat outside initially but it was very cold so we grabbed a table indoors, not aware of the queuing system! No drama, after we apologised staff member checked our table wasn’t prebooked and we stayed to enjoy a lovely vegetarian breakfast, pancakes and coffees. Brilliant customer service here clearly plays a big part in its success, would definitely return
This place is excellent. Food is superb, the breakfast will set you up heartily for the day. The cakes & desserts are just the best. Bought some food from the shop & it was all top quality.
Proper Farm shop with good selection of local produce and wonderful cakes. The restaurant was great. No dogs inside, but on a sunny or dry day you can eat outside with your dog. Recommended.
Had been to Boscastle Farm Shop for lunch before & had good experience. However this time was not so good, we had booked & looking forward to it. I have a Neurological condition that affects my eating & swallow & usually there is a fish dish that I can manage, we arrived at 12.30 & was told fish was sold out which I find amazing after only half hour of lunch service & not full. The staff were curt, not helpful & didn't really try to help find alternative , told we have no fish! I just felt I was being a nuisance.I saw on website owner says we cater for all dietary requirements- this is not the case.We went to Trevathan Farm Shop restaurant who went out of their way to accommodate.
Food amazing but a long wait for it. Worth the wait thought, the ingredients were top quality and home made. I had the vegetarian breakfast and a pot of tea.
If I could I would give this place 0 stars. It took nearly 20 minutes before any member of staff even acknowledged that we were waiting to be seated. After checking the menu we placed our order, mine was a steak pasty, they had 2 left, great. We paid and sat down to wait for our food only to be approached 10 minutes later by a member of staff to say there were no more pasties... well there was 2 left when I paid for one of them but they gave it to someone else!!! Seems like they prioritise larger groups rather than people who have already ordered and paid for their food. Greedy and money hungry with shocking, disgusting business practices. I was offered a cheese alternative but what self respecting cornishman eats a cheese pasty! Not what I wanted, ordered or paid for! I will never spend a single penny here again. Total sham of a business, money is better spent else where.
Best fresh ingredients whether you're eating in or buying to DIY. Still as good as ever! Another great hog roast last night, thank you! Visitors can enjoy excellent locally prepared foods in the cafe, or takeaway, as well as fresh local produce, meat, and a wide range of other local products available in the shop.
Four lunches, three lovey. One beef sandwich a bit bland and bread a little stale. The other 3 blooming lovely ♥️. Amazing toasties and pasty - £65 for 4 lunches.Views incredible, staff so attentive, lovely little shop - thank you
Love this place. It’s very popular but we managed to get a table. Really great food and service. I love how it is a community farm shop and everyone benefits. Great selection of cakes. They’ve won loads of awards as well. Great views and you can sit outside or inside. Lots of farm shop things to buy as well. Book if you want to eat here to ensure you get a table as it does get busy.
Beautiful place. Lovely breakfasts, super friendly staff and farm shop stocked with all the local goodies. Will come back time and time again. My breakfast looked so good, I forgot to even take a photo.
Amazing breakfast! Came on the weekend, was busy but a lovely lady got us a table. Loved my vegetarian breakfast, really good. Recommended, would go back, when next time in Bostcastle.
Lovely Staff and farm shop with lots of gifts and foodie finds to take home. Had a nice lunch but do remember to book if the weather is bad. Nice cream tea and cakes are homemade and to die for. Good size portions and if you can't eat it all not to worry they have your takeaway covered.
My daughter enjoyed her breakfast and I my pot of tea. So glad we booked online as it was very busy. We took a walk to the coast and back and had delicious cake! Been several times. Highly recommended. Great service.
