Always a pleasure to visit great range of fresh produce that you can't get in supermarkets. And the lumpwood charcoal in blue bags is way better than the stuff you get on a garage forecourt :-)14-sep-2024 went there today still fantastic to use and a great range of pickles and jams you can't get anywhere else. They are the only stockist of Crawley hand made pies ( better than supermarket ones) in the area I know of and carry a range of fantastic produce from best butchers of brickhill as well. The steak and stout and steak and kidney pies are lovely as a hot meal with veg on an autumn day after a dog walk and the brickhill butchers black cured bacon they stock makes a truly epic bacon buttie. Also bought a fresh seasonal purple cauliflower today from the farm shop section for Sunday dinner you wont find those in a supermarket 🙂
I'm disappointed with today's visit. I have spent thousands in here on fruit/veg and fruit plants, today I needed 2 more blackberry plants but they were looking very sad. They said would do something with the price and when I looked at the receipt noticed I was charged full price
Came in recently for a little browse.The shop is lovely and the produce looks to be really good quality. Unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to buy any of that because I was about to go away and wouldn’t have had a chance to use it before I went.Good range of products from plants, to gardening, to sweet treats, produce, dog treats etc.The only thing that put me off was that I felt like I was being a nuisance to the staff from just being in the shop? There was a kind of unwelcoming vibe, I’m not really sure how else to put it.This was also evident when I called to enquire about something that morning, the man on the other end of the line did answer my question but couldn’t wait to get off the phone with me. In fact before I had the chance to say “ok thank you very much”, the line was dead.On top of that I felt like when I was paying I was bothering the girl at the front. There seemed to be a group of people in the back room so perhaps she was wanting to spend time there rather than up at the till. I’m not really sure…
Visit every week as a pensioner living alone its great to be able to buy small quantities my shop this week was 6 potatoes, 2 carrots, 1 swede and 1 parsnip, small cabbage 2 tomatoes 2 plums and 2 apples 2 bananas - great variety for me and never any waste which I tend to have if buying in supermarkets because you have to buy so much. Added bonus is that Hunters produce is always top quality and a great price. Staff great too - just love this place
My 1st visit here even though I've lived in MK for over 40 years. Absolutely loved it, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Needed a marrow and some hanging basket plants. Excellent value and quality, Marrows were huge for 99p!! Definitely will be going again. Thank you 😊
