I have been a customer on and off for many years, my Parents and Grandparents used to get the eggs from the farm house many years ago, we all live fairly local and I try very hard to use independent businesses, however sadly I have decided I no longer want to shop at the farm shop, the staff are generally miserable and the customer service is terrible, don’t get me wrong get me wrong there are a few lovely members of staff who really make the effort, but the rest of them and especially the butchers are just ignorant and rude, if I wanted crap customer service and staff with attitudes I’d go to a supermarket. You pay a premium for the goods at the farm shop and my expectation is that the staff should be friendlier and polite. It’s such a shame and I hope the new cafe staff are going to be more pleasant.
Although a little expensive the quality of the food on sale is excellent.I have been coming here for a while now.The meat pies, pork pies, scotch eggs, cheese and cakes are delicious.I will certainly be back again.
Ordered x4 Xmas hampers for work colleagues and the lady I spoken to over the phone was very helpful and explained each hamper and kindly ensured I had an invoice on collection. On arrival the hampers were ready and they looked lovely my colleagues enjoyed them.
My family have been coming here years and I’ve always highly recommended the farm shop, the produce is high quality, the cold meats, pies, pork pies and the cheeses and bread are delicious. The staff have always been friendly and welcoming(Dawn was fantastic when she worked there), however the last 2 occasions I’ve had a bad experience with the older chap (the butcher)After this mornings experience (Sunday 8th Sep)I’ve decided to write this review, He is unfriendly and grumpy he makes you feel like he doesn’t want to serve you, he tuts and huffs and has an attitude problem, in fact we was going to buy some more items but was put off.
First time being there reccomend by someone at Hammond. There was so much to take in. Carrots taste like it should. Meat awesome, pies bread all sorts. It's worth a few pennies more but you get what you pay for. QUALITY.
Friend been before was my 1st visit. It was clean and staff very friendly. It seemed to lack atmosphere thought produce could be displayed better. Veg looked a bit sad. May go back but nothing jumped out n say buy me. They are opening a cafe in another building in the near future.
This place has been a revelation. I've been farm shopless since Gonalston burnt down. I did visit Spring Lane years ago and made a conscious decision to avoid it after that. But friends have been saying good things so I decided to give it another go. I will be a regular customer now moving on.
Fantastic products. Deli counter is absolutely beautiful freshly made pies, scotch eggs, quiches, samosas and many other things. Fresh meat delicious. Service is excellent . Well worth a visit.
Best ribeye beef steaks ever tasted. Dan in the Butchers Team provided great service friendly , helpful, professional and an asset to the business providing excellent customer care . I regularly drive the 45 minutes from leicester ....
Been driving past this shop so many times and always thought we need to pop in. Finally got round to it and it didn't disappoint. Great selection of products and very friendly staff. So far tried the beef jerk stir fry which was amazing, tomorrow it's pie time. Defo will be back.
Lovely fresh fruit and vegetables. Meats on the butchers counter/deli were all reasonably priced. Good selection of everything you might possibly need. The staff were lovely and helpful.
Love the food here, always fresh and tasty, just expensive now. Used to visit regularly and buy their pies, stir fry and pastries but now it's more of a considered purchase / special occasion kinda shop. Shame as the quality is outstanding but the prices aren't for your average shopper. The car park isn't for the faint hearted...if you're unsteady on your feet, partially sighted or less able bodied, I'd avoid Lambleys' answer to the Grand Canyon at all costs.
Visited the farm shop today on the way home from work. Was recommended by my in laws, and I wasn't disappointed. All the food looks lovely and staff are really friendly.I will be going back to try more food from there and have also told my friend about the farm shop. She will be taking her nan on Thursday.
Vegetables and butchers brilliant. Irritating that they only sell milk in bottles which have to be returned. I guess they don't want to sell plastic bottles which is fair enough.
I have used spring lane farm shop for a long time and I can say unequivocally that their food is some of the best around. All their food be it meat, veg, bread, cheeses are all top notch. Love it. If you haven't been you should really go.
Always love going to the farm shop. It's a treat for us having lovely tasting food. Staff are always cheerful and friendly with nice smiles. Gold stars

The food here is brilliant, it was our first time shopping here and was not disappointed with the whole experience, the prices are so affordable with a vast range of goods to choose from, pies excellent, meat excellent, and cakes so moorish, staff really friendly. I would definitely recommend this farm shop, well done guys, I'll be back.
